Polls and its meaning
Some of the current elements of the corporate bodies of AAS had the opportunity, three years ago, to speak with the current president of the club regarding some of the issues recently raise in a media poll, amongst others. At the time, we proposed several alternatives to the current schedules of the games in Portugal. For example, to schedule a game to a Sunday at noon to see how would the supporters react. wer
We were trying to defend the interests of those who live away from Lisbon which will, with this measure, be allowed to return home within decent timeframe. Important, if we consider people have to work the next day.
This proposal was rejected by Sporting's Board, alledging previous agreements with the sports tv network and the club's dependency on it.
This poll only confirms our proposal while presenting the fan's point of view on games at Friday nights, Sunday night or even Monday night. It is a sound "No" to those schedules.
And now, Mr. Soares Franco?
Will we remaing a special "hostage" by the TV Network Sport Tv? Or the issue is with the shareholder Joaquim Oliveira, also the owner of the network? AS we apporach the deadline of this contract, this should be a good opportunity to renegociate the contract in better conditions.
AAS is, therefore, suggesting that Sporting Club of Portugal start a renegociation contract with the TV network in order to make available for our clube the timeframe accepted by our fans to have a match of Sporting.
And may that decision became public! Upholding the interests of Sporting Club of Portugal!.
